Last updated: 27 July 2026 Shohojatri ("we", "us", "our") operates the Shohojatri airport transfer booking service, including this website and our mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's used. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT Phone number: When you book a ride or create an account, we collect your WhatsApp/mobile number to verify your identity (via a one-time code sent over WhatsApp or SMS) and to let your driver reach you. Booking details: Pickup airport, destination address, district and thana, pickup date and time, and vehicle type — needed to arrange and carry out your transfer. Push notification token: If you allow notifications, your device registers a token with Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can notify you about booking confirmations and status changes. This token is not linked to any advertising identity. Account information: Your name, if you provide one, and your booking history. We do not collect payment card details — fares are settled directly with your driver or through arrangements agreed at booking. 2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION - To create and manage your bookings, and assign a driver - To verify your identity via one-time passcodes (WhatsApp or SMS) - To send booking confirmations and status updates (push notification, WhatsApp, or SMS) - To provide customer support - To improve our service and troubleshoot issues 3. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH We share the minimum information necessary with: - Assigned drivers (your name, phone number, and pickup/destination details), so they can complete your transfer - Message delivery providers (WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, and local SMS gateways) to deliver verification codes and booking updates - Firebase (Google) for push notification delivery and app infrastructure - Our hosting provider, to run the app and website We do not sell your personal information to third parties. 4. DATA RETENTION We retain booking and account information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6). 5. YOUR RIGHTS You may: - Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you - Request correction of inaccurate data - Request deletion of your account and data - Withdraw consent to push notifications at any time, from your device settings 6.
